Running Groups

 We know that for some joining a running group or club can be quite a daunting prospect;
All of those reasons and fears people have for not getting involved in a running group: "will I be too slow, will I get left behind, will I hold everyone up"
Well let me let you into a little secret;
Even if you have the movement of a glacier and have never ran before if a running group cannot incorporate you into the group and make you feel welcomed then that is the fault of the group leader, not yours.  A well planned session should be capable of engaging, challenging and improving runners of all abilities and standards. It should meet the needs of everyone participating and it should also be FUN. (Maybe a little tough, but FUN)
We also know the amazing benefits and rewards a well organised group can bring. There is no better way for keeping yourself motivated, helping others to stay motivated and developing yourself as a runner whilst meeting new people and making great friends.
So do not worry, our aim is to assist all our members in maximising their potential in as a supportive, encouraging and welcoming environment as we can.

Sunday Endurance Training in association with Long Brew Running Club

9:30

A Sunday social or serious slog? You decide.

Those miles won't run themselves, we know we tried, and no matter what the event you are targetting, regardless of its distance, stamina is key.

Sunday is no longer the day of rest but instead a long, slow run (LSR). Build up the miles in good company; these are the runs where chatting is not only possible but mandatory.

Together let's put the world to rights and the miles in our legs.

Advice on pacing and distance available before, during and after the run.

Additional group sessions, specialist drill sessions and running form clinics will also take place on a regular basis both during the day and evenings.
